Kapanlagi.com - One of the methods used by Korean entertainment agencies to discover talent is through street casting. Some idols are offered contracts in their school areas or in restaurants, but there are also those who are 'discovered' in unusual locations, such as the bathroom. Although it may sound surprising, at least there are five K-Pop idols who received offers from agencies inside or outside public toilets. Let's find out more!

1. Ryujin ITZY

Ryujin ITZY has a casting story that is dreamed of by almost every K-Pop fan. She managed to attract the attention of a talent scout at a fan meeting of her favorite group, GOT7. However, the complete story of Ryujin's early relationship with JYP Entertainment has a funny detail, she was offered to become a trainee while waiting in line for the bathroom at the event.

As she stood in front of the bathroom waiting to enter, a representative from JYP Entertainment asked if they could give their number to Ryujin. Although initially suspicious, Ryujin revealed that she eventually agreed to give her number to the casting agent because she found them cute.

2. Cha Eun Woo

Cha Eunwoo once revealed that he was initially very hesitant to become an idol. Unlike most idols who aspire to enter the K-Pop industry, this ASTRO member did not actually audition to become a star. Instead, he received an offer from an agency while he was still in middle school.

Interestingly, this offer did not happen just anywhere in school. When Cha Eun Woo attended a school festival, he stopped by the bathroom. When he came out, someone from Fantagio Entertainment gave him a business card.

At that time, Eun Woo, who was a class president and ranked in the top 3 academically, aspired to become a judge when he grew up. So, he was not sure about joining an agency at the first attempt. However, fortunately, the agency persisted and eventually Cha Eun Woo decided to become an idol.

3. Tiffany Young

Most Girls Generation fans know that Tiffany is an idol who was discovered through street casting at a Korean festival held in Los Angeles in 2004. However, many people don't know that she was one of the few idols who received an offer while in a desperate situation.

Apparently, Tiffany was standing in front of one of the festival's bathrooms when she was approached by a casting agent. Tiffany herself had actually received offers from several entertainment agencies that day. However, Tiffany ultimately decided to choose SM Entertainment because she was a big fan of BoA.

4. JB GOT7

JB GOT7 has always wanted to perform on stage. After getting to know G.O.D at the age of 7, he became a K-Pop fan. Since his third year of middle school and onwards, he dedicated himself to dancing.

Breakdance is JB's true love, which is why he participated in breakdance competitions. And in one of the competitions, he was lucky enough to receive an offer from JYP Entertainment in the bathroom. JB then met Jinyoung during an open audition.

5. Suzy

JYP Entertainment seems to often find talent around the bathroom. In 2009, Suzy auditioned for the survival show Mnet Superstar K. After successfully passing the preliminary round, she then continued with the audition.

However, Suzy's journey did not end there. While she was on her way to the bathroom, a JYP Entertainment agent offered her a trainee position. Suzy was clearly a great discovery for the company. With her talent, Suzy only needed 10 months as a trainee before making her debut in Miss A.
