Kapanlagi.com - For some people, getting married is one of the coveted life goals. However, marriage is not as simple as it seems. Especially if you live in an Asian country that is closely tied to conservative traditions and culture, marriage becomes a moment of uniting two large families.
Interestingly, this does not fully apply to celebrities, such as several famous Korean stars. Having a successful career, being wealthy and charming, and having many fans, apparently does not make them interested in getting married.
Although they could get married anytime, as there are surely many people willing to propose to them. Instead of fulfilling social expectations, these Korean stars choose to enjoy a happy life as singles. Who are they?

First there is Jaejae who is quite famous in the Korean entertainment industry. His face often appears on various shows on the screen of the Land of Ginseng. In addition, Jaejae is also known to have a great sense of humor. It's no wonder he is close to many Korean celebrities and famous K-Pop idols.
Interestingly, in line with his egalitarian personality, Jaejae is not shy about talking openly about his love life. In an interview on the show Problem Child in the House which aired on KBS2, Jaejae even admitted that he never thought about getting married.
He straightforwardly stated that marriage is just an option given to him by society. There is a reason why Jaejae thinks that way.
There was a moment where he expected his wedding gift to come back, but then he changed his mind and chose not to worry about getting married, as his life is already happy.

Next is Yeonwoo, who is a former member of MOMOLAND. Her beautiful appearance makes it easier for her to build relationships up to the point of marriage. However, when it comes to happiness, Yeonwoo has a different perspective.
In the show 'Knowing Bros' which aired on JTBC, Yeonwoo expressed her opinion about marriage. This was in response to a question from Kim Heechul, a member of Super Junior, about his hopes for the future if he has children.
Yeonwoo then answered that she actually doesn't believe in marriage. "I don't believe in marriage. I am very happy with myself. I prefer to use my money to enjoy the things I want," she said.

HA:TFELT, who is also a solo singer from Korea, expressed a similar sentiment. This former K-Pop idol member is another beautiful Korean star who doesn't believe in the concept of marriage.
In a variety show, HA:TFELT revealed that she doesn't want to change herself by meeting someone in the context of marriage. "I heard that you can have a happy marriage if you can find someone who is loyal. I am not good at finding a good partner," she said.
Furthermore, HA:TFELT explained that marriage is actually like playing the lottery. "The chances of finding the right happiness in marriage are the same as the chances of winning in the lottery," she continued.
HA:TFELT also emphasized why she hasn't thought about getting married yet. "I still have many things I want to achieve, and I want to focus on making myself happy," she concluded.

Another K-Pop idol member who also has a different perspective on marriage is Sunny Girls Generation. In 2015, she shared her opinion about marriage on a show called Roommate that aired on SBS.
"I don't think getting married is something that everyone must do," said Sunny. She also revealed that she doesn't believe in the concept of marriage.
Interestingly, six years later, Sunny appeared on the same show again and received the same question. Apparently, she is still consistent with her stance.
"There is no definite reason for me to change my mind about marriage. I am not smart or wise enough to get married anytime soon," she concluded.

Still from K-Pop idol members, this time there is Luda Cosmic Girls who also doesn't believe in the concept of marriage. Recently, Luda also revealed that she is still comfortable living as a single person. In fact, she emphasizes that it is better to remain that way.
Luda is known for her strong stance on marriage, and fans continue to support the actions of the K-Pop idol. She expressed an interesting answer when asked why she responded to marriage like that.
"There is nothing permanent in this world," Luda answered. That means she might change her mind and eventually decide to get married. However, for now, she doesn't care and enjoys the happiness of being single.

Last but not least, there is Jung Hyuk who is a professional model from Korea. In a variety show that aired on tvN in 2019, Jung Hyuk revealed his personal reasons why he doesn't believe in marriage.
Apparently, his parents divorced a long time ago and that made him skeptical about the concept of marriage. He is even no longer interested in talking about anything related to marriage.
"I never even realized it, but it's clear that my parents' divorce made me so angry and upset. Maybe that's why I feel more comfortable being single like now," he said.
Those are some Korean stars who choose to enjoy a happy life by being single. Each of them has their own reasons for that choice. One thing for sure, whatever choices these Korean stars make, as fans, we should be able to appreciate them.
