His real name is Hwang Woo Joong, and eventually Ujung Oppa converted to Islam in March 2019. Initially, he became interested in Islam because he lived in an environment with a majority of Muslims in Indonesia. Ujung Oppa said that he was already accustomed to listening to the call to prayer (adzan) and also sholawat. What further strengthened Ujung Oppa's decision to become a Muslim was because of his close friend.
