Rikako Ikee is a highly accomplished swimmer from Japan and is a national asset in the world of sports.
Despite her young age, Rikako is only 20 years old.
Besides being young, Rikako also has a beautiful face and a friendly personality. Surely many men idolize her.
If you still remember, Rikako was once awarded the MVP title at the 2018 Asian Games held in Indonesia.
Now in 2019, bad news came. Rikako was diagnosed with leukemia, a blood cancer that threatened her career.
While undergoing recovery, Rikako occasionally still trains in swimming, but as you can see, her body has become very thin.
Rikako then registered to participate in the prestigious Tokyo 2021 Olympics. She knows that her chances of qualifying are small due to the changes in her physical condition.
Well, believe it or not, Rikako successfully won the Japanese National Championship (Kejurnas) for the women's 100-meter butterfly. Her time record qualified Rikako for the Tokyo 2021 Olympics.
While crying, Rikako shared her happiness for being able to continue her beloved sport amidst the struggle against leukemia. Congratulations and good luck for your upcoming competition, Rikako!
