Adapted from Webtoon, Korean Thriller Drama 'VIGILANTE' Premieres on November 8, 2023 on Disney+ Hotstar

Kapanlagi.com - When a criminal with a history of violence is given a light sentence after beating a woman to death, the woman's child will grow up seeking revenge in 'VIGILANTE', a Korean thriller drama that will premiere on November 8, 2023, exclusively on Disney+ Hotstar.

Adapted from the popular Korean webtoon of the same title by Kim Kyusam and CRG, 'VIGILANTE' tells the story of former victim, Kim Jiyong, who grows up driven by a thirst for revenge. Tired of seeing the failed justice system and repeat offenders being set free, Jiyong spends his formative years as a top student at the police academy.

A martial arts expert and avid reader, he uses his knowledge to pursue unrepentant criminals and mete out justice in his own brutal way. However, when the media catches wind of his attacks, Jiyong is forced to go into hiding in order to continue chasing criminals while evading capture himself.

Starring Nam Joo Hyuk ('START-UP', 'TWENTY FIVE TWENTY-ONE') as the vengeful vigilante named Kim Jiyong. Yoo Ji Tae ('OLDBOY', 'MONEY HEIST: KOREA - JOINT ECONOMIC AREA') as Jo Heon, a ruthless detective committed to stopping the vigilante by any means.

Lee Jun Hyuk ('STRANGER', 'DESIGNATED SURVIVOR: 60 DAYS') as Cho Kangok, and Kim So Jin ('THE SPY GONE NORTH', 'THE KING') as Choi Miryeo, a broadcaster who uncovers the actions of the vigilante. Meanwhile, 'VIGILANTE' is directed by Choi Jeongyeol.

'VIGILANTE' will join award-winning Korean content available on Disney+ Hotstar, such as 'MOVING', about a group of secret agents from South Korea who work to protect their super-powered family from threats and exploitation by government institutions; as well as the recently released 'THE WORST OF EVIL' - a thrilling crime thriller series about a police officer named Park Junmo who must infiltrate a dangerous new gang in order to bring them down from within. Disney+ Hotstar subscribers can also enjoy a variety of other entertainment, including Original Asia Pacific shows and global tentpole titles.
