Agencies of X1 Members Agree, X1 will be Disbanded

"This is Play M Entertainment, Yuehua Entertainment, TOP Media, OUI Entertainment, MBK Entertainment, Woollim Entertainment, DSP Media, Starship Entertainment, and Brand New Music. The X1 members and each agency have negotiated to reach a unanimous agreement, but we could not find that agreement. So we decided to disband them," said the agency representative.

After statements from the agency of the members were released, CJ Entertainment also expressed a similar opinion. They expressed their agreement with the disbandment of X1.

"CJ ENM is currently preparing for ongoing activities for X1, but we respect the agency's decision to disband the group," said CJ Entertainment.

Previously, fans of IZ*ONE and X1 were worried about the fate of the two groups. This is because the two groups were at risk of disbandment before their contracts ended due to their involvement in a bribery case.

The shows that formed both groups, Produce 48 and Produce X 101, were found to involve bribery. Several agency parties were known to have bribed the Program Directors of both shows. This received a lot of criticism from the general public.
