2. Producer Soo-man Lee Attends Invitation to Stanford University's Korean Studies Conference

Executive producer of SM Entertainment, Soo-man Lee, will attend the 'Korean Studies Conference' at Stanford University as a speaker.

The conference will be held on May 19-20, 2022 (local time), at the Bechtel Conference Center located at Stanford University, United States. In commemoration of the 20th anniversary of the establishment of the 'Korea Program' Korean Studies Center, the Asia-Pacific Research Institute at the university will invite scholars and experts from across North America to discuss the future and potential of Korean studies, with a focus on international aspects and modern Korean culture.

Producer Soo-man Lee is invited as the keynote speaker at the conference on Korean studies. His presence is expected to attract attention with a speech on the future vision of K-pop as the founder of K-pop and a leading producer in the global entertainment industry.

3. SUHO EXO Will Also Attend

Not only that, SUHO EXO will also attend this conference as a panelist for the Korean wave discussion and share stories based on his experience as a K-Pop artist.

SM Entertainment CMO, Young Jun Tak, met with Swedish Deputy Minister for Business and Innovation, Stina Billinger, at SM Entertainment's new office located in Seongsu on April 21, 2022, to discuss cultural and music industry exchanges between Korea and Sweden.

This meeting was held at the special request of the Swedish Embassy in South Korea, as Deputy Minister Stina Billinger showed a keen interest in exporting Korean music and culture. About 10 officials, including Swedish Ambassador to South Korea, Daniel Wolven, attended the meeting.

Stina Billinger said, “SM Entertainment's music and Sweden's music have many similarities, so I have always had a great interest in them. From this opportunity, we look forward to continuous exchanges from SM Entertainment in Sweden's creative industry and innovation system.”
