Caught Stealing AboutU Boy Group Jacket, Agency Sues Solo Singer Minty

Minty is a 27-year-old solo singer under the management of CORONA X Entertainment. His name became a topic of conversation when he participated in the High School Rapper 2 program in 2018.

According to Koreaboo, Minty was sued by their own agency, CORONA X Entertainment, for stealing the leather jacket of the boy group AboutU from their practice room. Prior to AboutU's promotional activities earlier this year, Minty was their stylist but was immediately replaced after the first broadcast.

It is reported that Minty was caught entering the company's practice room without prior notice and then leaving while wearing one of the leather jackets worn by AboutU members during their debut. Minty's behavior was captured by the CCTV camera installed in the CORONA X Entertainment building.

2. Denies Theft Accusations

Minty denies all accusations and evidence captured in the CCTV video. The agency stated that there has been no goodwill from Minty in the past 5 months, which is why they decided to file a lawsuit.

"Last February, Minty was caught wearing items worn by AboutU, covering it with a padded jacket, and passing by the CCTV camera. When we called Minty and told them that the item was missing, they claimed they took it for sponsorship. But when we checked the receipt afterwards, it turned out not to be a sponsorship," said a representative of CORONA X Entertainment.

3. Involvement of Former AboutU Personnel

The theft case that occurred within this agency has a long story. After further investigation, the CCTV camera also found other anomalies on the day the jacket was stolen.

When Minty took the jacket, Victor Han was also caught leaving the training room with a box. The agency had difficulty confirming whether Victor Han knew about Minty's actions, so they included him in the list of witnesses in their lawsuit.

4. Minty Controversy

This jacket theft case is not the first controversy involving Minty. Previously, Minty caused a stir among netizens by lying about her age on the program High School Rapper 2.

The singer, whose real name is Kim A Rin, auditioned for the program pretending to be a high school student born in 2002. However, at that time, Minty was already 22 years old and was the CEO of an agency that oversees the girl group Girls' Alert (GSA).
