Kapanlagi.com - Unfortunate news comes from the entertainment world of South Korea. After previously Rowoon SF9 suffered an injury, now Seungkwan SEVENTEEN will go on hiatus for the same reason.
On Tuesday (21/7/2020), Pledis Entertainment uploaded a notice regarding the injury suffered by Seungkwan through the official SNS platform of SEVENTEEN. Seungkwan's injury seems to be severe enough to require surgery.
"During recent training, Seungkwan suffered an ankle injury, and after that, he was taken to the hospital for diagnosis and immediate treatment. It turns out that Seungkwan suffered 'ligament damage in his left ankle', and according to health experts' advice, he had to undergo surgery. Seungkwan underwent surgery on Saturday (18/7/2020)," wrote Pledis Entertainment as quoted from Allkpop.

Recently, SEVENTEEN has been promoting their latest album, Heng:garae. Due to Seungkwan's injury, the agency has decided to put him on hiatus temporarily from all group activities.
"Seungkwan is currently focusing on resting and recovering after a successful operation. He also plans to prioritize his recovery for now. We will do our best to ensure that Seungkwan fully recovers and undergoes physical therapy. Therefore, we announce that Seungkwan will be on hiatus temporarily from promotional activities for his own safety so that he can focus on treatment," the agency continued.
Meanwhile, other SEVENTEEN members will continue with group promotional activities without Seungkwan. At the end of the announcement, the agency assured that they will do their best for Seungkwan so that fans don't have to worry.
"Furthermore, until Seungkwan recovers from his injury, SEVENTEEN will continue promotions with 12 members temporarily. We sincerely apologize for causing fans to worry about this sudden news, and once again, we promise to do our best so that our artist can greet fans again after fully recovering as soon as possible. We ask for fans' understanding and support. Thank you," concluded Pledis Entertainment.
