Choi Siwon Tests Positive for COVID-19, Cancels Appearance at MAMA 2021 as Presenter

The news regarding Choi Siwon's health was announced by SM Entertainment through their press release on Friday (10/12/2021). According to SM, Siwon received his PCR test results in the morning.

1. Cancelled Appearance at MAMA 2021

According to Choi Siwon through a statement issued by SM, he received his second vaccine in September. He took the vaccine as a preventive measure and a requirement for his scheduled activities.

After being confirmed positive, Choi Siwon canceled his attendance at the 2021 MNet Asian Music Awards (2021 MAMA) which will take place tomorrow, Saturday (10/12/2021). Siwon was previously confirmed as one of the award presenters.

2. Undergoing Quarantine

SM Entertainment also stated that Choi Siwon will actively comply with the quarantine requirements and do his best to recover as soon as possible. Siwon also apologized for causing concern to many people, especially fans.
