Fans were surprised by this information. Especially since some time before, BTS had just completed an offline concert for the first time since the pandemic at SoFi Stadium for 4 days. Some members of BTS, such as Jin, Jimin, and Jungkook, were known to have returned to Korea earlier on December 6, 2021.

However, BTS is required to quarantine for 10 days, following the new regulations from the South Korean government to anticipate the new variant of Covid-19, Omicron. So, to not miss BTS during their hiatus from their activities as public figures, let's check out some interesting facts below.

1. BTS Will Spend Year-End Holidays with Family

Through an announcement from Big Hit, this hiatus period will be utilized by BTS to enjoy year-end holidays with their families. As known, BTS is often busy with year-end schedules, especially due to various award shows and music festivals in Korea.

According to Big Hit, this moment will be the first time BTS experiences year-end holidays with their families since their debut 8 years ago.

2. Second Hiatus Since 2019

Interestingly, BTS' hiatus at the end of 2021 is officially announced as their second hiatus. Back in 2019, BTS also took a hiatus for several months.

During that period, they stopped their activities as K-Pop idols and spent their days like ordinary people of their age. This included going on trips to various dream destinations with close friends, aside from the members.

Big Hit hopes that with this hiatus period, the energy of BTS members can be replenished and they can gain new inspiration before starting a new chapter in 2022.

As it is known, several BTS members have repeatedly mentioned that the 'New Chapter' will soon arrive. This can be interpreted as a comeback or the release of a new album. Because, if we look back at the BTS hiatus in 2019, after that they immediately released MAP OF THE SOUL: 7 which set records everywhere.
