Fransiska Melani Detained, PT MIB Allegedly Loses Billions Due to Cooperation with Mecima Pro

Kapanlagi.com - Director of PT Melani Citra Permata (Mecimapro), Fransiska Dwi Melani, was detained after being named a suspect in a case of alleged embezzlement of investment funds for the TWICE concert in Jakarta in 2023, following a report by PT Media Inspirasi Bangsa (MIB). The case file has also been submitted to the prosecutor for further investigation.

The lawyer for PT MIB, Aldi, spoke out about the turmoil surrounding the cooperation for the TWICE concert in Jakarta, which resulted in a criminal report and the detention of Melani. In an interview on Thursday (30/8/2025), Aldi confirmed that his client invested a large amount of funds for the TWICE concert in December 2023, but has yet to receive any return on investment or profit sharing as promised.

"Initially, our client, based on the agreement, established cooperation for the K-Pop music concert TWICE held in Jakarta on December 23, 2023," explained Aldi. However, according to him, there have been no reports or returns from that cooperation to date.

1. Cooperation System

When asked about the amount of losses, Aldi mentioned that it reached tens of billions of rupiah. However, he did not detail the exact figure because there are still components of profit that have not been calculated. "The capital that was cooperated by PT MIB is there, but since the profit sharing has not been calculated, we have not disclosed the value. Perhaps it can be clarified directly with the Mecima party later," he said.

Regarding the cooperation system, Aldi mentioned that there are two schemes. "In the agreement, it is in the form of profit sharing, but the capital must still be returned," he revealed.

2. Profits Should Be Calculated After the Concert

Aldi added that according to the agreement, the calculation of profits and the return of capital should be done immediately after the concert. "After the concert, the parties should sit together to calculate the profits and return the capital," he said.

However, until the report was made in January 2025, there was no good faith from the Mecima party. "Since 2023, we have communicated several times, sent formal notices, and sought clarification. But we have never received a positive response," Aldi revealed. In fact, he mentioned that the formal notices from his side were never replied to at all.

3. Detained a Month Ago

Due to the lack of clarity, MIB eventually took legal action. "We reported this to the police, and finally Melani, as the president director of PT Mecima, has been named a suspect and has been detained at Polda Metro Jaya," he said. According to Aldi, the detention was carried out about a month ago.

4. Possibility of Peace?

When asked about the possibility of peace, Aldi stated that it depends on the client's decision. "If Mecima then wants to compensate for all the client's losses, then maybe we can follow up. But until now, there has been no response at all from their side," he said. He added, "We are currently focused on defending our client's interests, that there are indeed losses."

Currently, the legal process is still ongoing and there is no clarity on whether Mecima or Melani will offer a settlement outside of legal channels. The MIB is waiting for a response or goodwill from Mecima before determining the next steps.
