Hayoung A Pink, Kim Sejeong, and TWICE Members Decide to Leave FC Rumorw After Allegedly Forming a Women's Soccer Team to Date Male Celebrities

Kapanlagi.com - Last July, several girl group members along with their non-celebrity friends formed a women's soccer group called FC Rumorw. Some of the members include Hayoung APink, Kim Sejeong, Nayoung Gugudan, Mina, Jihyo TWICE, Jeonghwa E.X.I.D, and actress Kim Sae Ron.

Previously, there was a similar team for male celebrities called FC Rumor (which served as inspiration for FC Rumorw). Its members included Seungkwan SEVENTEEN, Cha Eun Woo, Im Seulong, and others.

1. Start of Bad Rumors

The FC Rumor Instagram account, once uploaded a photo of the FC Rumorw team. Unfortunately, the post received negative comments from some netizens. The post was eventually deleted and the FC Rumorw Instagram account was made private.

Haters spread rumors that the team formed by Hayoung and others had a connection with a male team that existed before. They said that the football team was deliberately created as a camouflage for female and male celebrities to meet and date.

Hayoung and Sejeong had previously explained the issue of the rumors on social media. They said that there is no connection at all between the two teams, even though their names are the same. The male team is more focused on soccer, while the female team chooses futsal. Sejeong even said that she doesn't know and doesn't want to know who the male celebrities are in the FC Rumor team. She also emphasized that there will never be any interaction between the two teams.

2. Hayoung's Live Broadcast on VLive

On Tuesday (11/8/2020), Hayoung did a live broadcast on VLive. As reported by Soompi, Hayoung intentionally went live to discuss an article about the FC Rumor team that happened to be discussed again by the media that day.

"I left the soccer team on my birthday. Some others left as well, including Jihyo and Mina. We left not because of misunderstandings, but because fans might misunderstand and feel sad because of the group and because people around us were hurt by speculation," said Hayoung.

3. Truly a Hobby

Hayoung explained that the FC Rumor team was formed purely as a hobby. She regretted that many people had different assumptions about their intentions.

"I understand that even though I had good intentions, people might not think the same way. I left because I wanted to put an end to the rumors," said the youngest member of A Pink.

4. Exit to Avoid Making a Mess

Hayoung wanted to upload photos of them exercising together to refute the rumors. But she decided not to do it because there are some members who are not celebrities.

"The names mentioned earlier, like me and Sejeong, all left together because we didn't want to create chaos. We feel that if we really wanted to, we could do it secretly, without everyone knowing, by renting a futsal place or creating a class, so we decided not to confuse the fans," explained Hayoung.

5. Asking Fans Not to Apologize

Some fans then apologized for this incident. But Hayoung said it's not their fault.

"Why are you apologizing? It's okay. For the past ten years, I have worked hard to maintain my image and make sure not to worry the fans. But regardless, this incident made me feel like I unintentionally made people misunderstand. Although it doesn't make them worry, as fans, they might feel sad to see their idol being mentioned in a negative way," concluded Hayoung.
