Joshua SEVENTEEN Delivers Inspirational Speech on the UNESCO Stage

Joshua SEVENTEEN once again represented his group at the event "UNESCO x SEVENTEEN: Celebrating Youth, Creativity and Well-Being Together" held at the UNESCO Headquarters in Paris, France, on June 26, 2026. Joshua's presence marked his third visit to the UNESCO headquarters since SEVENTEEN was appointed as the first Youth Goodwill Ambassador in the organization's history in June 2024.

This event was held to review the achievements of the "Going Together - For Youth Creativity and Well-Being" program while also announcing plans for expanded support in the next phase. On this occasion, Joshua delivered a speech representing all 13 members of SEVENTEEN and reaffirmed the group's commitment to supporting the youth around the world.

Joshua expressed his pride in the progress of the program that has been running so far. He mentioned that the journey has been very valuable for all SEVENTEEN members.

In his speech, Joshua emphasized that young people have the ability to create change. He said, "The younger generation already has the answers to change the world," as a form of belief in the creativity and potential of the youth.

Representing all members, Joshua ensured that SEVENTEEN will continue to fulfill its role as UNESCO Youth Ambassador. He affirmed that the group will continue to sing, whisper, and even shout so that every young person believes that their dreams have great meaning.

In addition to Joshua being present in person, other SEVENTEEN members sent videos containing messages of support. They congratulated the 100 participating teams and 10 selected Scale-up teams in the UNESCO x SEVENTEEN Global Youth Grant Scheme.

Over the past two years, various youth projects have received funding assistance through this initiative. This program is said to have had a direct impact on around 21 thousand people and reached approximately 1.2 million people through digital platforms.

Ten projects with the most outstanding results will receive follow-up funding. Some of the additional funds come from the proceeds of the charity auction "Jupiter Presents: Sacai x SEVENTEEN", all profits of which are also donated to support this initiative.

UNESCO Assistant Director-General, Khaled El Enany, expressed appreciation for this collaboration. According to him, the "Going Together" program will further strengthen UNESCO's efforts in promoting sustainable development while building lasting peace.
