J.seph KARD Will Enlist Next Month, Writes a Warm Letter to Fans

Kapanlagi.com - KARD recently completed promotions for their single Gunshot released on August 26, 2020. With the end of these promotions, fans must prepare themselves to say goodbye to one of the KARD members who will be serving in the military, J.seph.

DSP Media, the agency that manages KARD, announced J.seph's military enlistment date through the group's official fan cafe on Monday (September 21, 2020). They confirmed that the member born on June 21, 1992, will begin his national duty on October 5, 2020.

In relation to this announcement, J.seph released a handwritten letter to his fans through his personal Instagram account. In the letter, J.seph expresses his feelings towards his military duty and also sends a message to his fans.

1. Late Enlistment

According to Allkpop, J.seph shared a little bit about himself in a handwritten letter. Although a bit late compared to most Korean men, J.seph will finally fulfill his duty.

"Hello, this is KARD's J.seph (Taehyung). In 2011, when I was 20 years old, I came to Seoul to start working as a singer. I spent my precious 20s meaningfully, and at a slightly older age than most, I will enlist in the military on October 5th," wrote J.seph to begin his letter.

2. Do Your Best

He does not deny that he is a little scared to face the military service. However, J.seph promised to fulfill it wholeheartedly in order to return to his fans as a better person.

"The unfamiliar, different, and new environment makes me a little scared, but I am also looking forward to my life being renewed with a different status. I will faithfully fulfill my duty as a Republic of Korea man, and proudly return to your side," he continued.

3. Not Willing to Separate

J.seph also reminded fans to continue supporting the other members of KARD. On the other hand, the other members were seen sending off J.seph with heavy hearts.

"While waiting for my return, please support the activities of Matthew (BM), Somin, and Jiwon, and watch over them well. I will hold onto the love and unwavering energy that you have shown me in the past and return in good health. From Taehyung," he concluded.
