Lisa BLACKPINK Filming a Movie in Kemang, Baronk Cafe Transformed into a Vietnamese Atmosphere!

The Kemang area in South Jakarta suddenly became crowded with residents last weekend. The presence of global star Lisa BLACKPINK and the famous South Korean action actor, Ma Dong Seok, triggered the crowd. Both are known to be in the process of filming the latest Netflix movie titled EXTRACTION: TYGO.

Baronk Cafe, located on Jalan Kemang, was chosen as the main filming location. Interestingly, the cafe area was transformed in such a way as to provide an atmosphere different from Jakarta. The production team built a special set to make the location look like it was in Vietnam on Sunday (22/2/2026).

One of the café staff named Sony provided a brief overview of the atmosphere at the shooting location. He mentioned that the set used was indeed designed in great detail for the visual needs of the film. "The concept is Vietnam, the set is made like that. There's also Lisa from BLACKPINK. Lisa, along with the actor (Ma Dong-seok), is from Korea," Sony told Kapanlagi.com on Tuesday (24/2/2026). "The preparations started from Thursday," he added.

Although information about this shooting was not officially disseminated, news of Lisa from BLACKPINK's presence quickly spread by word of mouth. This led local residents and fans to gather around the location to catch a glimpse of their idol from a distance.

The police also intervened to ensure the situation remained conducive in the Kemang area. The Mampang Prapatan police chief, Kompol Wahid Key, confirmed that they had provided security around the shooting location. According to him, the filming process went smoothly even though many residents began to arrive out of curiosity.

"We are just securing the area because we received information that BLACKPINK is filming here. It's a Netflix film. The traffic, the public doesn't know, but once it spreads by word of mouth, it becomes a lot of people," said Kompol Wahid Key when contacted on Monday (23/2/2026).

Wahid Key also added that many drivers initially did not realize the presence of Lisa from BLACKPINK. This was due to the tight internal security and the lack of an official announcement regarding the artist's presence at the location.

"It's just that no one knew it was Lisa, so those who knew were just them, maybe the people around there knew because they were asking questions. But for those passing by, they didn't know, they didn't realize it was the filming of Lisa BLACKPINK's movie," revealed Wahid Key.

Unlike the previous shooting location in Kota Tua that involved explosion scenes, the filming in Kemang was relatively calmer. Wahid Key mentioned that the scene shot at Baronk Cafe only consisted of casual conversations.

"There are no (explosions), it's just chatting in the cafe. The shooting was on Sunday night, around 6 PM if I'm not mistaken. We started preparing at 5 or 6. We finished at 3 AM," concluded Wahid Key.
