Now, the Favorite K-Pop Artist nomination category is back with five big names ready to compete for this prestigious award. The nominees are ATEEZ, Jimin (BTS), RM (BTS), Rose (BLACKPINK), and Stray Kids.
Previously, the Favorite K-Pop Artist nomination category at the AMAs was first introduced in 2022. At that time, the award for this category was won by BTS.
At that time, the presence of this category was seen as a recognition of the global influence of K-Pop. However, in 2023 and 2024, this category was not awarded.

Rose, a member of the group BLACKPINK, has achieved a remarkable milestone at the AMAs 2025. In addition to being nominated for Favorite K-Pop Artist, Rose also received a nomination in the general category for 'Collaboration of the Year' with her song titled APT., which is a collaboration with Bruno Mars.
This achievement makes Rose the only K-Pop artist nominated outside the K-Pop category this year. In this category, Rose will compete with other major collaborations such as Kendrick Lamar and SZA (Luther), Lady Gaga and Bruno Mars (Die With A Smile), Marshmello and Kane Brown (Miles on It), Post Malone feat. Morgan Wallen (I Had Some Help), and Taylor Swift and Post Malone (Fortnight).
The American Music Awards 2025 will be held on May 26, 2025. This awards event will be hosted by Jennifer Lopez. Reportedly, the AMAs 2025 will also be broadcast live on CBS and the Paramount+ streaming service.
