Actor Calvin Jeremy shared his unique experience during the shooting process of the film MENDADAK DANGDUT. Although he only appears as a deceased character, the role turned out to be a challenge in itself. "It's also interesting because playing a dead person is actually difficult. I lay there for 2 hours because I had to stay still, you know," he revealed when met in the Kuningan area, South Jakarta, on Tuesday (22/4/2025).
According to Calvin, the main challenge during filming is to maintain a consistent body position in the midst of a crowded location. He also explains that although there are not many dialogues, the character he plays has significant meaning in the development of the story.
"Yes, he shot for 4-5 days. Technically, there aren't many scenes, but it was an extraordinary experience," he said.
Calvin feels happy to be involved in this legendary film, especially since Mendadak Dangdut is one of the influential films in the history of Indonesian cinema.
"Of course, I am grateful to be part of a legendary film. So for me, I didn't think twice to get involved," he said.
He also hopes that his involvement in this film can enrich his acting portfolio and reach a wider audience. Although he appears for only a few minutes, Calvin strives to give his best and maintain professionalism while on set.
