Sexual orientation is still considered taboo. In Korea, some celebrities openly admit to being gay, lesbian, or bisexual. Here are some of them who have come out or are known to be attracted to the same sex.

Hong Seok Chun can be said to be the first Korean celebrity who openly admitted that he is gay. Now he is one of the famous TV personalities in Korea. Hong Seok Chun is also an actor and entrepreneur.

In the early 2000s, there was a popular boyband named K'Pop. Shortly after their career, they suddenly disbanded. The reason was shocking. So, there were two K'Pop members who were in a relationship (until now it is unknown who the two members are). One of the gay couple cheated on the other member of the boyband, which led to him being abused by his partner. Because of this incident, K'Pop decided to disband.

Solo female singer Magoply, shortly after her debut in 2007, openly admitted that she is a lesbian. Shortly after her statement, Magoply, whose real name is Maman, was expelled from her agency, Jerry Entertainment.
