Japanese musical anime WORDS BUBBLE UP LIKE SODA POP premiered on Netflix in 2021. Studio SublimationSignal.MD, along with director Ishiguro Kyoto, released an anime that tells the story of a romance between two individuals who have communication problems.

Cherry, an introverted boy, struggles to express himself verbally. However, he has a hobby of writing haiku or poetry. Meanwhile, Smile is a cute and cheerful girl who is also a popular social media star, but she hides her smile behind a mask due to her braces.

They meet at a shopping center and eventually work together at an elderly care facility. They also meet and help an old man named Fujiyama who often searches for his lost vinyl records.

2. VIOLET EVERGARDEN (2020)

VIOLET EVERGARDEN THE MOVIE tells the story of Violet, a former war soldier who works under Major Gilbert to write and deliver letters from clients to their loved ones. Because of her job, Violet has to meet clients and understand their feelings.

In the end, Violet also understands what Mayor Gilbert said to her before the final mission. After the war, Violet tries to find Gilbert because he disappeared and reportedly was declared dead.

3. YOUR NAME (2016)

This romantic and fantasy film tells the unique love story between a girl and a boy who switch bodies. Mitsuha, a high school girl living a simple life in a village, mysteriously switches bodies and lives with a high school student in Tokyo named Taki.

Their story continues as love begins to blossom between them during the body-switching. Eventually, they wake up in their own bodies again. However, when they return to their own bodies, both Taki and Mitsuha forget that they had previously switched bodies.

4. SILENT VOICE (2016)

The film by Naoko Yamada, released in 2016, tells the story of a deaf high school student named Shoko Nishimiya who tries to adapt to her friends and live like any other high school student.

Meanwhile, Shoko's friend from the same school often bullies her, even to the point of removing her hearing aids. But when the teacher calls, Shoya accuses his friends and is shunned because of it.

After graduating, Shoya lives with guilt towards Shoko and is ashamed of his friends. Shoya wants to apologize to Shoko for what happened to her during high school.

5. WOLF CHILDREN (2012)
