The news of Park Jia's passing was first reported after a sad announcement from her relatives. "Park Jia recently collapsed due to a cerebral infarction (stroke) and was hospitalized, but unfortunately, she did not recover and passed away."

"This is the agency of actress Park Jia, BILLIONS.
We are deeply saddened to share this tragic news. Park Jia passed away today (September 30, 2024) at 2:50 AM KST after battling an infarction stroke at the age of 52.
The place of rest has been arranged in Room 2 at Asan Medical Center. The funeral process is scheduled for October 2 at 10 AM KST.
BILLIONS will forever remember the acting spirit that the late actress possessed until the end. Once again, we express our deepest condolences for her passing and truly hope she rests in peace."
Park Jia made her acting debut in 2022 through the film THE COAST GUARD. She became well-known among fans of Korean dramas after her outstanding performance as Jung Mi Hee, the mother of Moon Dong Eun (character played by Song Hye Kyo) in the Netflix series, THE GLORY.
