Kapanlagi.com - On June 9, 2025, ITZY officially released their 10th mini album titled Girls Will Be Girls. This album comes with five tracks and presents a slightly different color from their previous releases. Embracing the electropop genre combined with a modern K-pop touch, this album showcases a more mature, feminine, and softer side of ITZY, without losing their signature energy.
Unlike the previous mini album Gold, which was released in October 2024 and contained 11 songs with a more varied vibe, Girls Will Be Girls is concise yet solid. The five new tracks feel more thematically and sonically cohesive, as if they form a complete chapter of a story. While Gold highlighted a pop-rock concept and the individual spirit of the members (including re-recording during Lia's hiatus), this album shows togetherness in one smooth and tidy musical breath.
The official cover of Girls Will Be Girls features striking visuals, a silhouette of a dark-winged woman with a heart-shaped hole in her chest. The stencil-like illustration style and rough texture effects create an edgy, raw, and meaningful impression. This is not the type of cover that is cute or bright; instead, it challenges the typical visual expectations of a girl group and leans more towards street art or alternative design.
