VIGILANTE tells the story of Kim Jiyong (Nam Joo Hyuk) who has a childhood grudge against the person who killed his mother and was sentenced in a short period of time. As a police academy student, he is also a Vigilante, punishing criminals who violate the law in his own way. All of this is because he is disappointed with the legal system in Korea, which is considered to be too lenient towards criminals.
