There are several former K-Pop group members who decided to pursue solo careers, either because their previous group disbanded, went on hiatus, or the member decided to leave the group. 2. Chung Ha

This idol born on February 9, 1996 started her career as an artist from the survival show Produce 101 Season 1 and debuted in 2016. After the group I.O.I disbanded, Chungha continued to pursue a solo career.

Her name soared even higher since the song Gotta Go exploded in the market. She has also collaborated with several big names such as Rich Brian and Rain. Until now, Chungha's name is more widely known to the public because of her solo career.

3. Zico

Woo Ji Ho, commonly known by his stage name Zico, is a rapper, singer, and songwriter. The idol, born on September 14, 1992, debuted as the leader of the boy group Block B in 2011.

This artist is among the musicians with a genius mind as he produces hit songs that are out of the box. Although Block B has not officially disbanded, they have been on a long hiatus, and Zico's name has been soaring with his hit songs like Any Song and Summer Hate.

4. Jay Park

This Korean-American artist is a rapper, singer, and songwriter. Jay started his career by debuting as the leader of the boy group 2PM under the auspices of JYP Entertainment in 2008.

Unfortunately, in 2009, Jay Park left the group and re-debuted as a solo singer and rapper. The decision apparently had a positive impact on Jay as his name continued to soar thanks to his solo career. Now, he is one of the popular hip-hop artists and has established his own music label, AOMG Entertainment.

5. Suzy

Bae Su Ji, commonly known as Suzy, is a member of the girl group MISS A. When she first appeared with MISS A, the name Bae Suzy was not yet well-known to the public as it is now.
