1. SM Entertainment

The company founded by Lee Soo Man in 1995 currently manages top Korean artists including BoA, TVXQ, Super Junior, Girl's Generation, SHINee, EXO, Red Velvet, and NCT. Known as one of the big 4, SM has 4 subsidiaries namely Woollim Entertainment, Label SJ, KEYEAST, and SM C&C.

Woollim itself manages 4 groups, namely Infinite, Lovelyz, Golden Child, and Rocket Punch, while Label SJ is specifically created for Super Junior, and KEYEAST is a company for actors and actresses including Moon Ga Young, Park Soo Jin, and Shin Yun Seob.

The last subsidiary is SM Culture & Contents, which is a South Korean advertising, production, travel, and talent company under SM Entertainment. This company operates as a talent agency, television content production company, theater production company, and travel company.

2. JYP Entertainment

JYP is a company that is 2 years younger than SM. The label, known for always producing hit girl groups, has two subsidiaries, J. Tune Entertainment and Studio J. JYP has produced 16 artists, both current and former, including Got7, Twice, Stray Kids, and ITZY.

J. Tune Entertainment itself was disbanded in 2013, and it used to handle 3 artists, MBLAQ, Two X, and Madtown. Unlike J. Tune, Studio J is still active and has Day6 and Nakjoon as their artists.

3. YG Entertainment

The agency that manages BLACKPINK, iKON, Winner, and TREASURE was formed in 1996. It then created its first sub-label in 2015 called THE BLACK LABEL, and 3 years later YG established a new subsidiary called YGX Entertainment.

THE BLACK LABEL is led by Teddy and manages 5 solo artists, Somi, Zion.T, Okasian, Vince, and R.Tee. YGX Entertainment, on the other hand, currently has 3 members, VIINI, Blue.D, and Anda.

4. Big Hit Entertainment

Printing a new success in the South Korean music industry makes Big Hit one of the largest companies in the Ginseng Country. Not only BTS and TXT, but Big Hit has also handled several artists such as K.Will, 2AM, Glam, Lim Jeong Hee, and Homme. They have also acquired two companies, Source Music which oversees Gfriend and Pledis Entertainment which owns NUEST and SEVENTEEN.

5. Cube Entertainment

Although not in the top 4, Cube also has several subsidiaries! The label where Pentagon, CLC, and (G)I-DLE are located has 5 subsidiaries, namely Music Cube, Cube DC, Cube Entertainment Japan, Starline Entertainment, and U-Cube. Quite a lot, right?

6. kakaoM

kakaoM is a company formerly known as LOEN Entertainment. Focusing on music, kakao M also includes the music content brand 1theK. Not only that, they also embrace 4 major companies, namely Play M Entertainment, Cre.Ker Entertainment, Starship Entertainment, and EDAM Entertainment.

Play M consists of several popular groups such as Apink, Weekly, and Victon. Cre.Ker Entertainment oversees THE BOYZ, Starship has several artists like Monsta X and Cravity, and lastly EDAM Entertainment handles IU.

7. CJ E&M

You must have seen this one a lot, right? CJ is known as a very large company in Korea, it has TV channels such as tvN, O'live, OCN, and Mnet. Not only that, it also has a production, marketing, and drama distribution company called Studio Dragon. CJ also oversees Stone Music Entertainment which has 5 other subsidiary companies namely MMO Entertainment, Off The Record Entertainment, Swing Entertainment, LM Entertainment, and Studio Blu.
