V BTS Reveals Difficult Times During 7 Years of Career, Reveals Feeling of Emptiness

Initially, this event was supposed to be held at Coex Seoul, but it was decided to be live-streamed to avoid the spread of the coronavirus.

When asked about the meaning of this album, Jin answered, "MAP OF THE SOUL: 7 is an album that tells our journey as 7 individuals becoming one team. In our previous album, MAP OF THE SOUL: PERSONA, we talked about the world, the beauty of love, and our vision."

"In this new album, we want to learn about different things like the experiences that brought us here and the feelings we have every time. This way, we can show our true selves that have been hidden and at the same time, we also want to show ourselves," he added.

1. Defeating The Beatles

As known, the sales of BTS' album MAP OF THE SOUL: 7 have surpassed the previous album by The Beatles, which had been number 1 for 2 consecutive years. The seven members admit that they are very proud, but on the other hand, they also have 'pressure' to maintain that success.

"It's a lie if we say there is no pressure at all, but I think at this point our goal is more important than the outcome. Creating is more important than achievements. If we continue to do what we do, it will slowly develop into good results," they said.

2. Struggles During their Career

When discussing their challenges during their career, V shared a story about feeling a 'void' when returning to normal life after touring around the world.

"During the tour, we go from concert venues to airports or hotels, that's what we keep doing. When I'm at a concert, I feel like the center of attention, and after getting in the car to rest, I feel that void," said the idol with his real name Kim Taehyung.

In the end, he struggled to overcome it by being more open about his difficulties. Not only to the members, but also to his friends.
