'When The Rain Stops' Becomes Wendy Red Velvet's Thank You Expression to Fans

Kapanlagi.com - On Monday (5/4), Wendy Red Velvet officially debuted as a soloist. As known, the golden-voiced Idol from SM Entertainment has just released her mini album 'Like Water' which contains five songs.

For her solo debut mini album, Wendy Red Velvet has two main singles (double title tracks) namely 'Like Water' and 'When This Rain Stops' which are dedicated to fans.

1. When This Rain Stops

In today's press conference, Wendy was accompanied by Joy who acted as the host. Joy then asked about Wendy's two main singles.

"We chose two tracks, 'When This Rain Stops' and 'Like Water'. Both have sincere messages and each track has a different sound and charm, you can enjoy them!" Wendy explained.

"When This Rain Stops is a ballad track with piano accompaniment and only my vocals. I think this is a song that specifically showcases my vocals. I also poured my personal story into the lyrics, making the song closer and more precious to me," she continued.

2. Dedication to Fans

Furthermore, Wendy explained that the song 'When This Rain Stops' is dedicated to her fans. As known, this idol received tremendous support from fans after the accident she experienced a year ago.

"I went on hiatus last year, and I found strength through my fans who continue to give great support. I chose this song as the title track because I want to share the confident feeling I received and also to show my gratitude to everyone," she said.

"I actually feel very comfortable singing this track, so I hope this song can also calm the minds of listeners and make the rain stop. I hope this will be a song that brings comfort to many people!" Wendy added.

3. 15 Hour Recording

So focused and dedicated to her work, Wendy admitted that she recorded in the studio for 15 hours to produce the best song.

"I want to fully convey the message and emotions of the song, so I am very focused and pour everything out during recording. It seems like I spent a total of 15 hours recording this track! Also, it's very interesting, every day it was raining when I was recording and when the recording was finished, the rain stopped," Wendy concluded.
