17 Years of Work, D'Masiv Releases New Single and Holds Concert

Kapanlagi.com - Music group D Masiv celebrated their 17th anniversary on Tuesday (3/3). On their birthday, the band consisting of Rian, Rai, Rama, Wahyu, and Kiki, released a single as a gift to their fans.

Unlike their usual songs, D Masiv's latest single is a composition outside of the band members. The song is also a revamped version of an old song.

1. Bring Chrisye's Song

The song is titled Kala Sang Surya Tenggelam by Guruh Soekarno Putra popularized by the late Chrisye. Rian D Masiv also explained why in this latest single, D Masiv is performing someone else's work.

"Because there is an album, there is a project (to re-sing Chrisye's songs). Besides D Masiv, the album also features Noah, Iwan Fals, Geisha, and others. We were assigned to sing the song Kala Sang Surya Tenggelam," said Rian during a press conference in the SCBD area, Jakarta, on Tuesday (3/3).

2. Joys and Sorrows During 17 Years of Creating

In addition to releasing a single, D Masiv also held a simple birthday celebration by organizing an intimate concert with fans. The event took place at the same venue in the evening around 8:00 PM.

"We really enjoyed the ups and downs of the 17 years. We really enjoyed all the dynamics. Lately, some people have been saying that D Masiv's songs are either rising or falling, but we don't think about that. What we think about is just creating songs, making albums, and continuing to create," said Rian, supported by other band members.
