Anggis Devaki Prepares Debut Album 'DEVAKI', Inserts Personal Confessions

Kapanlagi.com - Indonesian Idol Season 12 alum, Anggis Devaki, will release her debut album titled DEVAKI on September 26, 2025. The album contains nine songs that tell the story of Anggis's love journey, including four new works that have never been heard before. The four songs include Iman Tak Restui, Bertahan Atau Menyerah, Penyesalanmu Nanti, and Menua Bersama.

Leading up to the release, Anggis held a hearing session on September 17, 2025, at MNC Pictures, West Jakarta. The event was attended by fans, media personnel, as well as Music Directors from radio stations in Jakarta and Bandung. During the event, four songs from the album DEVAKI were specially played for the first time.

1. The Song Aging Together Becomes a Special Tribute from Bagas Ran

The song Aging Together is one of the tracks that caught attention in Anggis Devaki's debut album. The song was entirely written by Bagas Ran, using Anggis as inspiration. The production process was relatively quick, taking about three weeks.

"Anggis has a close friend named Bagas. He came with the lyrics, and the title is intriguing. Aging Together," said Sevri Hadis, Head of A&R at HITS Records during the hearing session on Wednesday (17/9/2025). The song is said to tell the story of a couple's hope to stay together until old age.

Anggis herself admitted to having some difficulty performing Aging Together, which has a medium upbeat feel, because she is used to ballad songs. "At first, I had a bit of trouble. But, over time, I started to get along," she explained. Anggis also added that during the recording, she had to smile so that the emotions in the song could be conveyed.

2. Personal Confessions Hidden in the Song Iman Tak Restui

Iman Tak Restui is the second work written directly by Bagas for the album DEVAKI. Anggis also refers to this song as one of his mainstays. The creative process was born from personal experiences they went through together.

In an interview session, Anggis admitted that he immediately connected with this song the first time he heard the demo. "We relate to this song. That's why our story became a work," he said on September 17, 2025.

Bagas himself describes this song as a depiction of a melancholic version of Menua Bersama. "If Iman Tak Restui is the melancholic version, it's about a couple of different religions. They have doubts about 'how long can this go on?'."

3. Collaboration with Renowned Musicians Completes the Album 'DEVAKI'

Anggis Devaki's debut album, featuring her personal works, also involves many renowned musicians. Some of them include Mahalini, Andmesh Kamaleng, Bagas Ran, and Mario G.Klau, along with several other musicians. This collaboration adds a unique color that enriches the musical atmosphere in DEVAKI.

One of the songs that contains a special story is Bertahan Atau Menyerah created by Mario G.Klau. This song was born from Anggis's personal reflections while in Bali, where she shared her doubts about her romantic relationship. Mario transformed this story into an emotional and touching piece.

In addition to new songs, Anggis also included two favorite old songs in her debut album. The songs Kisah Tanpa Dirimu and Dirimu Yang Dulu were even performed live during the hearing session. These two songs were chosen because they hold a special place in the hearts of both Anggis and her listeners.
