Kapanlagi.com - In addition to being with the band Rocket Rockers, Bisma is also busy with his clothing business. Based in Bandung, the clothing business named GVFI and Karibatur also has various activities or campaigns.

Since the beginning of 2020, Bisma, along with his colleagues and several volunteers, has been doing beach clean-ups. The Santolo beach in Garut, West Java, was Bisma's first target for a beach clean-up campaign.

1. Campaign Must Stop

Unfortunately, the Covid-19 pandemic has caused the campaign to come to a halt. However, since the beginning of August, Bisma has launched a city clean-up campaign. On August 17th, while celebrating Indonesia's independence, Bisma conducted a city clean-up in the area around Cibeunying Park to Lansia Park in Bandung.

"This City Clean-up campaign is the first time we have implemented it. Previously, earlier this year, we had conducted a Coastal Clean-up campaign. But due to the pandemic since March, the Clean-up campaign had to stop. We only resumed it in August," said Bisma over the phone.

2. Having Two Similar Campaigns

Having two similar campaigns is beneficial, and they will be alternated each month. If City Clean-up is held this month, then Coastal Clean-up will be held in September. Regarding this matter, Bisma explained the reason.

"Why do we alternate between the two? Because that is the concept of the two brands that I am currently developing. There is GVFI, a brand with a Beachwear theme. And Karibatur, a brand with a Daily Urban Muslimwear theme. The next target is still the beaches and cities in West Java. It is possible that the Clean-up campaign will continue to expand to other regions in the future," explained Bisma.

3. Hoping for Young People

Although already having a number of volunteers, Rocket Rockers' bassist still hopes for the involvement of young people. Through the campaign he is conducting, Bisma has a profound message for the community. We must maintain cleanliness of the environment, especially from plastic waste that is difficult to decompose.

"We only advise that in dealing with this plastic waste problem, we only need to start from our smallest environment, such as getting used to throwing trash in its proper place and reducing the use of plastic in daily life. Because plastic waste will be very difficult and take a long time to decompose by nature. And it should be remembered that around 90% of plastic waste in the ocean comes from urban waste, in other words, this is the responsibility of all of us in combating the problem of plastic waste," he concluded.
