Celebrating Two Years of Marriage, Hifdzi Khoir Releases New Single Titled Petrikor

Kapanlagi.com - The name Hifdzi Khoir was initially known as a comedian. Known as an absurd comedian with a Thai accent, Hifdzi then developed himself as an actor and singer.

In the world of singing, Hifdzi is a member of a band called Orkes Pensil Alis. He also tried his luck as a soloist by releasing a single titled Ambigu in 2017. The latest one, the film actor is releasing a new single titled Petrikor on October 13, 2021.

The single Petrikor was released coinciding with the celebration of his second wedding anniversary with Rinita Dini Eka Sari. Initially, this single was also released in conjunction with his special show, but due to the pandemic, the event had to be postponed.

"The idea for this song has actually been there since 2018 when I first met my wife. Then there were many things that prevented me from recording. Finally, it was released coinciding with the moment of my two-year wedding anniversary with my wife," said Hifdzi when contacted by Kapanlagi.com recently.

1. Natural Aroma

It's not Hifdzi if he doesn't come up with unique diction. Just like the title of his new song, Petrikor. In Greek, Petrikor means the natural aroma produced when rain falls on dry soil. From this word, lyrics were born and merged into a song.

"The basic idea of the lyrics came from me. But I was helped by my friends on Soundcloud in Jogja. One of them was assisted by Mas Dicky from Olski," said Hifdzi.

"I once read the word Petrikor in a book or on social media. It seemed fun to make it a song title. Finally, I found the title, the melody, everything, and it was accomplished," he continued.

Through the song Petrikor, Hifdzi wants to share his love story with the public. Without the intention to influence, it turns out this song has similarities with many people.

"This is my personal journey from getting to know each other to marrying my wife. But there are many things related to other people. This is also a story about how marriage is not just about happiness, but there is sadness too, but everything is enjoyed," he explained.

2. Want to Keep Creating

Hifdzi also wants to keep creating, whether through stand-up comedy or other songs. He has also planned a special show for himself that has been postponed.

"The special will be held at the end of February. While observing the situation, I want to make it a tour in several cities. If I really want a single, then definitely. Hopefully, I will get inspiration again. Ambigu and Petrikor, the ideas came to me while I was on a motorcycle, hopefully, other inspirations will emerge to create the next single," he concluded.

The music video for this song has also been released. Everything was done in Jakarta and assisted by friends from Jogja. As of the time this news was made, the Petrikor music video has been viewed up to 20 thousand times.
