"This time the theme is indeed a celebration, just like the title of the song, Long Life," said Chintya Gabriella at a press conference in the Ampera area, South Jakarta, Friday (03/10/2025).
However, who would have thought, behind its cheerful nuance, the song Long Life hides a rather long journey before it could finally be enjoyed by the public. This fact was revealed by the representative of the We-Record label, Iman.
Iman explained that this song has actually been created since 2023, even before Chintya officially joined the label. However, its release was delayed due to several obstacles.
"This song has actually been ready for a long time. Even before Chintya joined We-Record," Iman revealed.
With this journey, the label has high hopes that Panjang Umur can become a new anthem song, replacing the birthday songs that are commonly played in various places.
"Our hope at We-Record is that this song can accompany friends who are celebrating their birthdays using this song. Hopefully, later every café will play this song. It gets boring, right," he added.
The success of this song is inseparable from the beautiful collaboration between Chintya and musician Petra Sihombing. This is their fourth time working together, showing a strong chemistry between the two. "It just fits. Maybe because we are both Batak people," joked Chintya.
