Collaboration with NTRL in the Song Bacot, Tuan13 Feels Challenged

Kapanlagi.com - Rapper Tuan13 is one of the most anticipated guest stars at NTRL's 28th virtual birthday concert titled "Konser Virtual NTRL 28 Tahun" on NTRL Official TV's YouTube channel on Tuesday (15/12/2020).

Tuan13 is the last guest star to perform among other guest stars, namely Gusti Hendy (GIGI drummer), Fourtwnty, Gerald Situmorang (Barasuara bassist), and Endah N Rhesa. In this event, Tuan13 collaborates with NTRL to sing a song titled Bacot.

A latest collaboration song by NTRL and Tuan13 that was just released in August 2020. Before singing the song Bacot, Bagus, as the vocalist and bassist of NTRL, briefly talked about the initial collaboration process between NTRL and Tuan13. According to Bagus, this duet has been planned by NTRL and Tuan13 since the end of 2019, after performing at the Synchronize Fest 2019 event.

"The story is when we played at Synchronize Fest. After (performing) at Synchronize Fest, we went down (the stage) and said 'let's make a song' and collaborate. Finally, that's Bacot (the song)," said Bagus.

This is a great collaboration between NTRL and Tuan13. Despite that, Upi Tuan13 said that when given the material by NTRL, he did not know what this Bocot song would be like.

"When I was given the draft by bang Eno (NTRL drummer), I said 'wow, I've never done this before'. At first, I didn't know what to do, but I thought it would be cool, so I just went with it," said Tuan13.

2. No Objections

Fortunately, once it was done, the three NTRL members did not object to the result of the Bacot song. Tuan13 said that collaborating with NTRL through the Bacot song was a unique challenge throughout his career in the Indonesian music industry.

"Finally, I started working on it and it felt like a new territory that I had never experienced before. I felt challenged. When I gave the draft to the NTRL guys, they didn't object. So, the Bacot song was created," concluded Tuan13.
