Completing the Single 'Baik Baik' During the Pandemic, Astrid Brings Recording Equipment Home

Kapanlagi.com - Singer Astrid has an interesting story about the Covid-19 pandemic. Astrid said that when the pandemic first hit the country, she was in the process of producing her latest single.

"When starting the production of the song titled Baik Baik, the atmosphere was just starting with the Covid-19 outbreak," Astrid said during a conversation with Bens Leo on Instagram, some time ago.

When preparing to record in the studio, the corona virus outbreak escalated. As a result, the recording process was delayed.

"Everything had to stop because we had to follow health protocols," Astrid explained.

1. Recording at Home

The pandemic shows no signs of subsiding, so Astrid had to think creatively to complete the single. Astrid and her team eventually brought recording equipment to her home. The home recording went smoothly, and the song 'Baik Baik' written by Ade Govinda was finally completed.

"To keep everything safe, the recording had to be done at home. So, Ade Govinda and I agreed to bring the recording equipment to my house," she recalled.

"Thankfully, the recording went well, and the result is the single 'Baik Baik,' which, in my opinion, has deeper lyrics compared to the singles and songs in my previous five albums," Astrid continued.

2. Break the Stereotype

With her latest song, Astrid, who got married in 2011, also wants to dispel the notion that female artists become less productive after marriage.

"Thankfully, even though I'm married, I'm still productive. I release singles and albums. So, it's not always true that a female singer's career ends after marriage," she stated.
