Amanda Caesa has released her latest work titled Dont Play. The single was self-composed by the daughter of comedian Parto Patrio based on her own life experiences.
"This song is based on my own story, all of my creations are more or less my confessions. My inspiration comes from my own stories because I want to express the emotions I feel," said Amanda during a conversation at the Kapanlagi.com office in Gondangdia, Central Jakarta, on Wednesday (10/1/2023).
Amanda is grateful that the production process of her 7th single went smoothly and was released according to the predetermined schedule. In fact, the process of creation until it became a work only took two days.
"This song went smoothly, on time according to our release plan in December, everything went well from vocal production to music video production," he said.
"This song was quite fast, only took 2 days because I sang it directly from playing the guitar, at that time I already had the melody in mind which I thought was suitable and the lyrics weren't too complicated, so expressing what I wanted to say became easy," Amanda continued.
Amanda revealed her inspiration when writing the song, which eventually became her creation. Usually, Amanda first creates the melody and then adds the lyrics.
"Usually, I remember the stories I've experienced and haven't expressed before. I'm not the type to confide in others, usually I keep it to myself and think about it alone, and then I pour out my feelings and experiences," Amanda explained.
"Usually, I start with the melody because I want to develop the song based on what it's about, what message I want to convey, but usually there are so many ideas. I just record random voice notes on my phone, but they haven't been developed into a full song," Amanda added.
Amanda is grateful that after a hiatus of more than a year from the entertainment and music industry, she can finally come back and release her latest work.
"Don't play" is my comeback. I wrote it during my hiatus. In the midst of the hiatus, I wrote the song. It tells the story of the early stages of falling in love, being happy that they're perfect. In the song, we idolize the person we like," she concluded.
