Curious, Rebellion Rose and Fanny Soegi Will Be Tried at DCDC Music Court

Kapanlagi.com - The rising musical career of the rock band Rebellion Rose and folk singer Fanny Soegi has piqued the curiosity of the ‘prosecutors’ from the program “DCDC Music Court.” These two musicians from different genres will be grilled and asked for details about their increasingly popular musical journeys.

The DCDC Music Court for Fanny Soegi and Rebellion Rose will take place at VOC Inlander Koffiehuis, Bandung City. Rebellion Rose will be tried first in the DCDC Music Court edition 58 on Friday, September 27, followed by Fanny Soegi in edition 59 on Friday, October 11.

“Rebellion Rose and Fanny Soegi, these two musicians from different genres have indeed been popular among music lovers lately. Their musical works are widely heard and have influenced many people, making them worthy of being summoned and tried regarding their musicality in the DCDC Music Court,” said Agus Danny Hartono, the DCDC Representative.

The DCDC Music Court is a program held to review the works of music practitioners developing in the Indonesian music industry. The DCDC Music Court also serves as a platform to appreciate the works of local musicians, packaged with a court trial concept. The DCDC Music Court format is not entirely serious; humorous interjections from each court member will also enliven the atmosphere.

1. Considered to Create 'Trouble'

In the 58th trial edition, DCDC Music Court summons Rebellion Rose. This band from Yogyakarta, formed in 2008, is considered to have created 'trouble' with their various musical works that are deemed acceptable and capable of conquering rock music lovers. The band, whose music often carries themes of togetherness and fighting for minority voices, has also just released a new single titled 'With Hands on My Chest, This is My Promise to You'.

Knowing that they will be 'dragged' to DCDC Music Court, the members of Rebellion Rose claim to be ready to face the challenges from the trial officials. Fyan Sinner, the vocalist, stated that they will fight to uphold their ideals in music. 'There is no other choice. We are ready to provide clarification and defend all our ideals in music,' said Fyan Sinner.

2. 'Disturbing' Music Court

In the next edition, it's Fanny Soegi's turn to face the trial. The journey of this folk singer is considered 'disturbing' due to her distinctive vocal character, soulful music, and poetic lyrics, along with her captivating charm. Since deciding to leave the band and become a soloist, Fanny has just released new singles 'Dharma' and 'Arutala'.

Danny added that many musicians have been tried in the DCDC Music Court. In practice, the examination will be conducted by two Public Prosecutors, namely Budi Dalton and Pidi Baiq. The trial is presided over by Man Jasad as the Prosecutor Judge, who will determine whether all the statements from the defendants are admissible or not. 'Then the trial is managed by Eddi Brokoli as the Clerk, and two Defenders, Yoga PHB and Rully Cikapundung, who will defend the defendants to help them avoid all charges,' he added.
