Debut Solo Career, Pasha Ungu Releases First Album Titled 'DI ATAS LANGIT'

Kapanlagi.com - The vocalist of the band Ungu who is currently serving as the Deputy Mayor of Palu, Sigit Purnomo alias Pasha Ungu has released his latest solo album titled DI ATAS LANGIT. This is Pasha Ungu's debut solo album during his career in the Indonesian music industry.

There are eight songs in the album DI ATAS LANGIT. One thing is for sure, these songs are very different from Pasha Ungu's works with the band that made his name famous.

"Talking about my works is difficult for me to measure, after the release, many cliquers (Ungu fans) write that they remember Ungu a lot. Because of the song, it's like Ungu, or it seems like I'm the one singing. It's different, definitely different. It's purely without any Ungu touch," said Pasha in a virtual press conference on Monday (9/21).

1. Longtime Dream

Pasha Ungu also admitted that this has been his longtime wish. He said that being able to release a solo album is one of his dreams in music for the past 25 years or so.

"Certainly a dream, just to add to the musical repertoire. This album is history that can add to knowledge. At least once had it. Continues for hundreds of years to come," said Pasha.

2. Not Involving Ungu Members

In the making of the DI ATAS LANGIT album, Pasha truly did not involve any Ungu members. According to him, if Ungu members were involved, it would be the same as not working on a solo album.

"None of the Ungu friends are involved here. If they participate, it's the same thing. It's not called a solo album," Pasha concluded.

Although not involving other Ungu members, Pasha still receives full support. "Actually, whatever Pasha does, we support it. Hopefully, Pasha succeeds and Ungu succeeds too. I feel that it must succeed because if he succeeds, we also succeed," concluded Enda Ungu.
