'DESKRIPSI DIRIMU' Debut Single by Axl Ramanda as the Vocalist of Drive

Kapanlagi.com - The band Drive once again showcases their existence in the world of music by releasing their latest original work. This is the first single for Axl Ramanda since joining Drive as the vocalist in 2022.

"Yes, this is the first original after Axl Ramanda joined, previously we released remakes," said Drive guitarist, Saleh Budi when met in the area of Warung Buncit Raya, South Jakarta, on Wednesday (11/1/2023).

DESKRIPSI DIRIMU is the first single produced in 2023, which has long been written by Dygo, the bassist of Drive. Dygo said that the song was inspired by his story with his wife, who cannot be romantic.

"That's the inspiration from my wife, because in my opinion, this is very fitting to dedicate to my wife. This song is an expression to my wife," said Dygo.

"I wrote these lyrics, started making them in 2018, and then in 2020, I was planning to sell them by turning them into a song and making the musical notation, but it didn't happen," Dygo continued.

Axl, as the vocalist, admitted that there were unique challenges in performing the latest song from Drive. Moreover, there were notations and tones that were not in his comfort zone.

2. Low Tones

"This song is challenging for me, because I always struggle with songs that use low tones. This is the first time I recorded a song with low musical notations," expressed Axl.

Drive's single, "Deskripsi Dirimu," is released in collaboration with Gajah Mada Record label and can already be listened to on various digital music platforms. Drive hopes that their latest single will be accepted by music enthusiasts in the country.
