Kapanlagi.com - The music group TBA consisting of Teuku Ryzki, Bastian Steel, and Aldi Maldini released their latest single titled U-Uh… on November 3, 2023. This is TBA's debut single after deciding to return to the Indonesian music industry. Patrick Effendy, the Music Director of TBA, explained that TBA was formed because they received many performance offers.

“TBA joined on September 17, if I'm not mistaken, and after one year because there were many performances, we collected money and made a new single,” said Patrick Effendy when met in the Senopati area, South Jakarta, on Tuesday (31/10/2023).

Patrick Effendy revealed that there was a big challenge when TBA returned with a new single. Therefore, he and TBA agreed to have a different approach to introduce themselves through their latest single.

“The challenge is when releasing the single, back in the game, how can we make a special program to make them glowing. So we collaborate with many friends to make them really glowing,” he said.

As is known, TBA is a music group formerly known as Coboy Junior, then changed to CJR. Now they have changed their name to TBA (Teuku Ryzky, Bastian Steel, Aldi Maldini).

The difference with Coboy Junior and CJR, TBA only has three members. They do not involve Iqbaal Ramadhan who was previously a member of Coboy Junior and CJR.

Patrick Effendy revealed the reason why Coboy Junior and CJR changed their name to TBA. However, all the members are still the same as before. According to him, the names Coboy Junior and CJR each have their own ownership.

"Well, it turns out that the names Coboy and CJR separately have their own owners. And also, the collaborations are different. This time, we are partnering with four people. Unlike before, I created the project and recruited them. Now, it's the four of them. So, let's use their own names," he said.

Patrick Effendy then explained the differences between Coboy Junior or CJR and TBA. Besides the absence of Iqbaal Ramadhan, the members also have different ages. Now, they are not known as children anymore, but as adults. In addition, TBA presents current music.

"What's for sure is age. Because age will definitely change the song. So what makes TBA work now is their young age, which is currently in the scene everywhere," he said.

"And the music relates to them, so we make different and changing arrangements. It's very youthful, not childish, more philosophical, and the music is more contemporary, more meaningful," he continued.

As a start in the Indonesian music industry, TBA will release a song titled U-Uh... on November 3rd. So, why did TBA choose to title their new song U-Uh...?

"Simply put, it's because we're lazy. Because there's U-Uh... repeated in the background, so it became U Uh. And since we had a lot of cute expressions like 'eaa' recently, we just continued with that characteristic, bringing our identity. So U-Uh... was finally chosen," he concluded.
