Audience Shaken Up to Mahalini Confiding Being Cheated on 4 Times, Witness Her Actions During Grand Show Multiverse Malang

Mahalini was the sweetest closing act at the Grand Show Multiverse event at Universitas Negeri Malang (UM) on Thursday (26/10/2023), with an amazing performance that left the audience amazed and smiling. Besides being able to sing live with the singer of the song SIAL, the audience was also entertained with some personal stories from Rizky Febian's girlfriend. Not only stories, but Mahalini also knows how to capture the hearts of the audience with her mischievous and adorable actions.

The fashion show held at Graha Cakrawala UM chose Mahalini as the only guest star for a reason. Based on a direct interview with the organizers, they believe that Mahalini currently has many fans.

"Because Mahalini is currently on the rise, she has many fans," said Isya, one of the staff members.

"From the results of the polling, like from Instagram, class groups," said Tasya, a staff member of the event.

The organizers did not make a mistake in choosing Mahalini as the final performance of the event, which also featured 30 professional models and 60 young designers. The reason Mahalini has many fans was proven by the increasingly crowded venue as her performance approached. From teenagers to parents, and even toddlers, everyone seemed excited to welcome the singer born in Denpasar. When she first arrived, Mahalini even interacted with the audience who had crowded the main stage.

As the current most popular singer, the audience definitely does not want to miss any precious moments when Mahalini performs. Regular audience members and VIP guests immediately stand up to take the front position when it's time for her to perform. The main stage that was previously used for the fashion show is now crowded with the audience.

However, Mahalini shakes up the audience by performing on a small stage where the accompanying band is located. The long-awaited audience on the main stage quickly run towards Mahalini. After successfully shaking up the audience, she energetically performs the song BURU-BURU.

Considering that the Grand Show Multiverse event is an annual event of the Fashion Design program at UM attended by students and fashion enthusiasts, Mahalini shares stories about her love for the fashion world. 

She expresses her interest in the fashion world through the clothes she wears during performances. She usually looks for clothing references on her own and also helps determine what she will wear on stage.

Since the event is attended by young designers from Malang, Mahalini offers support by collaborating with the designers there. Additionally, she mentions that the skirt she wore for the performance was recently sewn in Malang.

3. Cheated by the Same Person

Because of how comfortable Mahalini is on stage, she even shared her bitter story in a romantic relationship. Mahalini revealed that she had been cheated on 4 times by the same person.

“I have also been cheated on,” said Mahalini.

She then added, “Cheated on 4 times by the same person, consecutively. The first one was my own friend, the second one was my own friend, the third one was my ex-boyfriend, and the fourth one was my junior,” Mahalini expressed.

4. Getting Body Shamed as an Idol

Still part of the song bridge SIAL, Mahalini shared that she had experienced body shaming when she was still on Indonesian Idol. At that time, she apparently gained 9 kg, which resulted in her facing body shaming.

“I have also been body shamed, on Idol I gained 9 kg,” Mahalini revealed

Through her story, Mahalini delivered a constructive message to the audience, “Make them your inspiration for a glow up. Because no one is that perfect, I also have many flaws,” she said.

Then she reminded the audience who are in a relationship, by saying, “Appreciate your partner, whether it's their appearance or attention, it should be valued,” Mahalini said, before finally singing the song SIAL.

5. Giving a Kiss to a Toddler

Heading towards the end of the setlist, the stage became more crowded with standing audience members who were so close to Mahalini. It all started when Mahalini took a spectator's phone to make a video of herself singing on stage using the phone she had taken.

Seeing the 23-year-old singer's performance, the audience flocked to the stage, even adults carrying toddlers. Instead of taking the phone, Mahalini lifted the little one onto the stage. The audience became even more delighted when Mahalini kissed the cheeks of the two toddlers she brought up on stage.
