End of the 25-Year Journey, David Bayu Announces Naif Officially Disbanded

Kapanlagi.com - Naif officially disbanded. The band, led by David, Jarwo, Emil, and Pepeng, has been presenting their best and iconic works for 25 years to entertain music lovers in Indonesia. The news was confirmed directly by David, the vocalist, in a video on his YouTube channel.

David couldn't deny that Naif was also affected by the pandemic, making it difficult to survive in the Indonesian music industry. In fact, the idea of disbanding had been considered on their 25th anniversary, in October 2020.

"Well, you could say it falls into the category of disbanding. Yes, disbanding," said David, as quoted from David Bayu Tube's channel, Monday (10/5).

1. Internal Problems of Naif

News of Naif's disbandment has actually been circulating since a few months ago when Emil and Pepeng announced that they had left. And to answer the public's curiosity, David finally made an official statement.

David also did not deny that during their 25 years together, Naif often faced internal problems. However, he did not explain in detail what these problems were and whether they ultimately led to their separation.

"Internal problems must and will always exist. Don't say that life has no problems, even when you die, there are problems. If you say there are problems, then yes, there are, but I always liken myself, Pepeng, Emil, Jarwo to the core family. In my opinion, that value is higher than Naif. It's okay if Naif disbands, but the highest value is me, Emil, Pepeng, Jarwo, our family brotherhood," continued David.

2. Thank You Expression for Fans

Throughout 25 years together, Naif has released various hit singles that were booming in their respective eras, such as Posesif, Jikalau, Benci Untuk Mencinta, Air dan Api, Mobil Balap and many others. David also didn't forget to express his gratitude to the fans who have always been loyal in supporting Naif's journey.

"Thank you to everyone who has followed Naif, appreciated their works, and had fun together. I'm really grateful to all of you. I apologize if there are any oversights or mistakes that we forgot or anything like that," David concluded.
