For the First Time Held, Check out the Complete List of Nominations for the Indonesian Music Awards 2021

Kapanlagi.com - The Indonesian Music Awards (IMA) 2021 awards event is probably still unfamiliar to all of you. It is understandable, as this event, which is the result of collaboration between RCTI and Langit Musik, is being held for the first time. Nevertheless, this event is promised to be no less prestigious than other awards events.

The peak night of the Indonesian Music Awards 2021 will be held on December 6, 2021, and will be broadcast live by RCTI.

"RCTI is always committed to supporting award programs or appreciation for business actors and industries in Indonesia, including the music industry of the homeland. Therefore, we are now collaborating with Langit Musik to hold an awards event for Indonesian musicians, namely the Indonesian Music Awards, which is being held for the first time. Besides being a form of appreciation, hopefully, with the presence of the Indonesian Music Awards 2021, it can motivate Indonesian musicians to continue to create," said Dini Putri, Programming & Acquisition Director of RCTI.

Langit Musik, as the only local digital music streaming platform, continues to show its commitment to advancing Indonesian music in various ways. Langit Musik, which continues to grow until the end of 2021, is the right time to collaborate with RCTI to hold this Indonesian Music Awards 2021.

"We believe that the presence of the Indonesian Music Awards 2021 is appropriate to be held at the end of this year. This performance is our appreciation, PT. Melon Indonesia through its Digital Music business unit, namely Langit Musik, and also involving Personal Ringback Tone (NSP1212) to musician colleagues and music enthusiasts themselves," said Dedi Suherman, CEO of PT.Melon Indonesia.

"And currently we, PT.Melon Indonesia, as a subsidiary of Telkom group engaged in the digital content company field, have been active for 11 years. Music is one of the core businesses of what we do through the digital music service products Langit Musik and also Personal Ringback Tone, a collaboration between Melon Indonesia and Telkomsel. Indonesian Music Awards 2021 is a real commitment from Langit Musik to continue supporting Indonesian musicians with their works. Not only through tactical programs but also through big events like this as an appreciation of Indonesian music over the past year," he added.

It then proceeds to the selection process to narrow down to 10 names based on predetermined categories, and finally narrowed down to 5 as nominees.

"The nominations for the Indonesian Music Awards 2021 are quite relevant to the music trends in the period of 2020 and 2021, as seen from the list of nominees whose songs have been played continuously on radios throughout Indonesia with their respective segments," said Prita Prawirohardjo, Head of AMDI (Indonesian Music Director Association).

Each song and musician nominated has the opportunity to become a winner with additional points from voting conducted via Langit Musik microsite, social media, and the RCTI+ application during the period of November 12 - November 29, 2021 (at 00:00 WIB).
