God Bless Personnel Collection Displayed, Achmad Albar: Yes, surprise

Kapanlagi.com - The exhibition titled "Retrospective of God Bless 50 Years" at the National Gallery of Indonesia is a pride for the band God Bless.

They are the first rock band in Indonesia to have the opportunity to showcase their works in the exhibition.

Achmad Albar, the vocalist of God Bless, described the exhibition as an appreciation from the country to them.

"Yes, surprise. For me, it's also a surprise to see my own belongings that I haven't seen in a long time, and now they are displayed here," said Achmad Albar at the National Gallery of Indonesia, Central Jakarta, Friday (16/2/2024).

Retrospective Exhibition of God Bless 50 Years at the National Gallery of Indonesia showcases a number of collections from God Bless' career journey since their debut in the music industry in 1972.

The collection includes musical instruments used by God Bless, historical documentation, album collections, and stage costumes from their early days.

"Each member also contributes their own collection, meaning we still have interesting items from God Bless, such as costumes, instruments, or whatever it is, they are also exhibited," said Achmad Albar.

The vocalist, familiarly known as Iyek, hopes that events like this can continue. Moreover, many works from other legendary Indonesian musicians also have high artistic value.

"Hopefully, this will provide satisfaction for people who may want to know more about GB's journey and also documentation of GB, they can come here, it's free," he said.

3. Can Be Enjoyed for Free!

The God Bless 50th Anniversary Retrospective Exhibition will take place at Building A of the Indonesian National Gallery, and can be visited by the public from February 17 to March 1, 2024, from 09:30 to 20:00 WIB. Visitors are not charged to enjoy hundreds of collections from God Bless, it's free.

Meanwhile, to enjoy the music festival, visitors can register through gni.kemdikbud.go.id and select the Visit Festival menu.

The special entrance ticket price to enjoy this music festival is sold for Rp60,000 from February 24 to 29, 2024, and Rp100,000 for March 1 (specifically for God Bless performance).
