On stage, Chris Martin, the vocalist of Coldplay, expressed his gratitude. He thanked the Indonesian government for finally allowing his band to perform in this country.
Thank you all, we are very grateful and happy to be here, in Indonesia. Thank you also to your government (Indonesia) for allowing us to perform here," said Chris Martin when performing at Gelora Bung Karno Stadium, Wednesday (15/11).
The cheers of the audience immediately erupted. Especially before, Coldplay's presence in Jakarta was greeted with protests, even leading up to the concert.

Throughout the concert, Chris Martin and his friends continued to smile. The concert titled Music of the Spheres was lively, attended by 80,000 spectators who had booked tickets months in advance.
Chris Martin was so happy to finally perform in Jakarta that he prostrated in gratitude on stage. This moment happened when they performed the song Adventure of a Lifetime, which was later uploaded to Coldplay's official Instagram Story.
Chris expressed his gratitude multiple times, both in Indonesian and English. "Thank you. 80,000 people here, it's amazing. I promise I will come back here again, promise," said Chris.

Gratitude was also shown by Coldplay's drummer, Will Champion. He drew Monas and the word Jakarta on his drumset.
"Well, better late than never. It took us 25 years to be able to perform in Jakarta and for me to reach the B-stage section to then remember to upload this photo," wrote Will, which was later uploaded by Coldplay's official account.
After Jakarta, Coldplay will continue their Music of Spheres tour to Perth and Kuala Lumpur. Some of the proceeds from this tour will be donated to various countries for deforestation, river and ocean clean-up, and various other nature conservation activities.
