Kapanlagi.com - After the success of releasing the single Balada Semburan Naga at the end of 2020, the music group from Jatinangor, The Panturas, is releasing a new song titled Tafsir Mistik. This song also serves as the gateway to The Panturas' second album after the success of the album Mabuk Laut released in 2018.
Unlike their previous songs, Tafsir Mistik is played with a Malay tone. Furthermore, it is enhanced with a unique combination of Gipsy and Arabic guitar harmonies, making the song Tafsir Mistik sound fresher.

"For us, this is a new style because we play guitar chords that continuously change scales. With a Malay intro and then incorporating Gypsy or Balkan music elements in the middle. We don't want to be monotonous by creating puritan surf rock songs," said bassist Bagus 'Gogon' Patria, as stated in the press release received by Kapanlagi.com on Friday (5/3/2021).
The song Tafsir Mistik was written by the vocalist and guitarist of The Panturas, Zaki Nabilio or commonly known as Acin. He stated that the song Tafsir Mistik was inspired by Django Reinhardt, a famous French gypsy-jazz guitarist in the post-World War II era.
Regarding the lyrics themselves, Acin delves into personal anxieties. He addresses social issues, especially the many thinkers of the social media era.
"Those who believe their idealism is the most correct. They do not consider cultural relativism, that right or wrong depends on our own perspective," said Acin.
"It's not an absolute thing. Instead of judging, it's better for us to appreciate the process of how they can reach their understanding of 'right or wrong'," added Acin.
In addition, this single Tafsir Mistik also interprets the mystery of the second full album for the band consisting of Abyan Zaki Nabilio (vocals/guitar), Rizal Taufik (guitar), Bagus Gogon (bass), and Surya Fikri Asshidiq (drums). Reportedly, this second album will be released in mid-2021.
"We will celebrate cultural diversity. Like a ship sailing through the Nusantara archipelago, the music presented is nomadic in nature, from Broadway to the Arabian Peninsula. A fusion of surf rock, punk, garage, waltz, Mandarin, Balkan, and Malay rhythms," concluded Bagus 'Gogon' Patria.
The presence of the Covid-19 pandemic should not be a barrier to continue being productive. In addition, make sure to #RememberMother'sMessage. Wash your hands regularly, always wear a mask, and don't forget to maintain social distance!
