Kapanlagi.com - Candil, former vocalist of the rock band Seurieus, has initiated a collaboration project called The Brokers with a simple goal, which is to have fun while maintaining a sense of camaraderie. Initially, it only involved rock vocalists from the Bintaro area in South Jakarta, such as Andy /Rif and Aryo Wahab.
However, this project has grown by collaborating with vocalists from various regions, including Bandung. Now, The Brookers is inhabited by top musicians in the country, such as Zian (former Zigas member), Axl Ramanda (Drive), and Richie 'FM' Setiawan, former vocalist of the Bandung band, Five Minutes.
This project is carried out organically without specific targets, but it grows like a snowball. Nevertheless, the recording of the debut single project does not require the involvement of all members.
“Remain as flexible as possible. Those who can participate are welcome, but it's okay if some cannot,” said Candil.
The Brokers' debut titled Thank You was chosen from several stock songs by Pay Burman, with arrangements that consider the characteristics of each vocalist. Thank You was chosen because it suits The Brokers' mission of carrying the theme of friendship.
“To mature this single project, we certainly had to involve the rock maestro, which is Bang Pay. Why Bang Pay? There are many other composers, but he is the one who closely follows the development of music in the current era,” said Zian.
In this song, the vocal characteristics of Candil, Zian, Axl, and Richie are combined well to create a fresh yet still maintaining their individual identities rock vibes.
“Basically, we want something new in the world of rock. To make it more exciting,” said Zian.
In anticipation of the release of Thank You, The Brokers have many plans, including TV programs and performances at several music festivals. This song will be released through the J83 Music label and will be available on various digital platforms starting from March 22, 2024.
“We are also organizing events and thinking of appropriate promotions for The Brokers,” said Andhi Iswahyudi, SE, Director of PT. Jabriks Delapan Tiga Entertainment (J83 Entertainment).
