Impact of COVID-19 Outbreak, Rock 80 Concert Officially Postponed

Because of this outbreak, several music concerts have to be postponed from their previous schedules. Starting from Hammersonic, Dewa 19 concert, Dream Theater 'The Distance Over Time' Tour 2020, Head in the Clouds, Khalid Free Spirit World Tour 2020, to Rock 80 music concert.

The Rock 80 concert was planned to be held at Hard Rock Cafe Jakarta on Wednesday, March 18, 2020. However, due to the corona virus outbreak, the concert has been postponed until an unspecified time. Rizky Mamay, as the manager of Rock 80 and EPSILON (an English language education institution based in Semarang), announced the postponement of this event through an official statement.

"To our respected colleagues, Indonesian musicians, rock music lovers in Indonesia, media colleagues, work colleagues, and other supporting parties who support and actively participate in the Rock 80 event. In connection with the widespread spread of the COVID-19 pandemic and the advice to reduce contact in activities that invite crowds, by paying attention to and obeying the advice and guidance from the Indonesian government, we hereby announce that the Rock 80 concert, which was supposed to be held on March 18, 2020, at Hard Rock Cafe Jakarta, is postponed until an undetermined time. This is the notification letter from us, please understand and may we all be given health and be under God's protection." Nevertheless, Rizky Productions ensures that the event will still be held after receiving instructions from the Indonesian government, which will be announced soon. "The rescheduling of the Rock concert will be announced immediately after receiving further instructions from the Indonesian government," said Rizky.

2. Rock 80 Concert

As additional information, Rock 80 is a project consisting of top musicians in the country: Jikun (guitarist of /rif), Anwar Fatahillah (bassist of Powerslaves), Ovy (guitarist of /rif), Heydi (vocalist of Powerslaves), Gatz (former keyboardist of Ungu), Anton (additional drummer of Juliette), and Andy (vocalist of /rif).

Rock 80 was formed in early November 2019, initiated by Jikun and Rizky Mamay (manager). Unlike Rockstarr Conspiracy, which performs songs from the bands its members are part of in rotation, Rock 80 is a collaboration of musicians performing repertoire of 80s rock songs.

Previously, Rock 80 - with full support from EPSILON - has held three concerts in Central Java, namely in Semarang, Purworejo, and Purwokerto. In all of these locations, rock music fans always packed the venues and showed high enthusiasm.
