"This is actually a true story from one of my friends. He went through a turmoil, a difficult situation. Turbulence in his romantic relationship, which ultimately made him honestly lower his self-esteem, basically shattered," explained Marcell Siahaan.

"In the late 80s to 90s, the period when I truly enjoyed the condition of the world music industry at that time. I felt like I received a lot of input, influence, and references during that era. If it was before the 80s, it was more about the references I got from my siblings and family. But from the late 80s to the 90s and 2000s, those were the references I obtained on my own," said the 44-year-old man.

Marcell Siahaan also stated that he has become more idealistic in creating songs. He admitted that the era of following songs loved by the general public has passed, and now Marcell wants to provide a song with his own style.

This song, Akhir Cinta, will be the opening track of his eighth upcoming album. Marcell mentioned that he is currently in the process of making his new album, which is likely to be released in early 2022.
