Ready to Release EP 'Yes I Am', The Panasdalam Bank Presents New Song 'Kamu Orang Gula'

Kapanlagi.com - The music group The Panasdalam Bank has released their latest single titled Kamu Orang Gula (You're a Sugar Person). Under the label of Warner Music Indonesia, Kamu Orang Gula is one of the songs included in The Panasdalam Bank's latest EP, Yes I Am.

The song Kamu Orang Gula was written by one of The Panasdalam Bank's personnel, Pidi Baiq, in 2014-2015. It tells the story of someone expressing longing for their partner. Interestingly, they describe their partner as sweet as sugar.

Nandang, the bassist of The Panasdalam Bank, said that working on the song Kamu Orang Gula was not easy. Because everything was done at each member's home of The Panas Dalam Bank. Considering that the process of working on the song Kamu Orang Gula was done during the Covid-19 pandemic.

"The recording process was done with caution due to the pandemic. Some were done at each member's home, and some were done at The Panasdalam Bank studio," said Nandang to reporters on Sunday (9/18/2021).

Despite many obstacles when working on the song Kamu Orang Gula, the band, consisting of Erwin Koboi (vocals - Harmonica), Alga (vocals), Boiq (electric guitar), Nawa (acoustic guitar), Nandang (bass guitar), Roy (drums), and Eeng (percussion), feel satisfied with the result of their latest song.

"There were many obstacles because the workshops couldn't run smoothly." Until finally The Bank agreed to finalize the work and felt satisfied with the results," he said.

Kamu Orang Gula is one of the songs in the EP Yes I Am. An EP that will be released soon. In the EP Yes I Am, The Panasdalam Bank still presents songs with funny lyrics that tell stories about young love.

"The EP Yes I Am will be the first mini album released after more than 10 years without releasing an original album. It contains 5 new songs that will be released soon. This EP tells stories of love, sadness, and heartbreak experienced by teenagers who are often attacked by confusion," said Nandang.

It should be noted that the song Kamu Orang Gula is already available on music streaming platforms in Indonesia. In addition, the artwork for the single Kamu Orang Gula itself was created by Erwin Koboy Banjaran, while the artwork for the album Yes I Am was created by Ibas.

The Panasdalam Bank is known for their straightforward and non-cliché lyrics. The lyrics and diction are sung very honestly and verbally by the band, which is under the Warner Music Indonesia label.

Before Yes I Am, The Panasdalam Bank released the Original Motion Picture Soundtrack album for the movie Milea in 2020.
