Ipang Lazuardi and Didit 'Like Plastic' Successfully Creates Nostalgia at Synchronize Fest 2025

"Me and Mr. Didit Saad, kind of trying to look back maybe 30 years ago. There were some unclear teenagers, it seems, whatever was on their minds, they were willing to do anything. Yes," said Ipang in the midst of his performance, reminiscing about the early days of the formation of the Plastic band.

A series of their hit songs like "Statis," "Seperti," and "Rahasia" were successfully performed with fresh arrangements while still maintaining their signature style. Their performance that night felt even more special with the presence of Ipang and Didit's children who also joined them on stage as backing vocalists.

"I must thank Synchronize Festival first. As a new band, we are very honored to be here, don’t laugh, this new band is called Seperti Plastik, while the old one is Plastik, this one is like that," added Ipang, which was met with laughter from the audience.

Ipang then introduced the "vocal group" he referred to as BPOT or Bakti Pada Orang Tua, which consists of their children, namely Mayo, Leko, Lafi, and Kadiva. The presence of this new generation adds a new color to Seperti Plastik's performance.

"And this stage is very big. That’s why with this great opportunity we brought, what’s the term, not children, because that sounds too old, branches, the second branch, and it turns out we already have the third branch, which means there are already grandchildren," joked Ipang.
